Location:This remarkable South Texas, high-fenced ranch is located in Kinney County just 6.5 miles west of Brackettville, Texas. The property has over 2 miles of frontage on Hwy. 90.

Description:The ranch has a thick mixture of native South Texas high protein brush with hundreds of big live oaks, pecan, and elm trees following the live Pinto Creek. Pinto Creek is spring-fed and has crystal clear water. Nice improvements include: a ranch house, foreman's house, irrigated fields, and several lakes.

Water:Pinto Creek Ranch has excellent water resources. The Pinto Creek is spring fed and passes through the ranch for several miles creating a stable source of water. Portions of the creek have limestone rock bottoms and deep water holes providing excellent fishing and duck habitat. The wet-weather Turkey Creek makes up part of the water on this ranch as well as, five lakes and five ponds. There is one concrete dam on the creek generating a perfect swimming hole. There are 5 wells on the property:

  1. Well #1 & #2 - Two 1,120' – 110gpm, artesian wells.
  2. Well #3 – One Artesian well producing 280gpm, with 8" casing. The artesian wells are used to maintain all lakes and irrigates the farm land on the ranch.
  3. Well #4 - 450' deep producing 12gpm is on a solar pump.
  4. Well #5 - 450' producing 15gpm is on a windmill.

There are 135 acre feet of transferable water rights to pump out of Pinto Creek which is good for irrigation. There are numerous live springs on the ranch.

Wildlife:Hunting is outstanding on this ranch. The abundant native wildlife on the ranch consists of: whitetail deer, turkey, dove, and quail, with incredible winter duck hunting along the Pinto Creek and lakes. Various exotics are aoudad, Axis and Blackbuck antelope. There have been releases of whitetail deer with improved genetics from breeding pens onto the ranch. The ranch has maintained a Level I MLDP for the past 2 years.

Improvements:Improvements on this ranch include a nice 5BR/4BA ranch home with open living area; nearby is a large patio for entertaining with views of the creek bottom and pecan orchard. An irrigation system waters approximately 15 acres of pecan trees and 43 acres of improved coastal pastures.
