In February 2010 my wife Susan and I began looking for a small ranch hopefully to be located within a couple of hours of our home.       A number of years ago I met Sheldon in the deer business actually when I was partners with a ranch in South Texas. I decided to sell off my partnership and started looking for other land and the first piece of property I looked at a property Sheldon was the broker on it, but I was not dealing with him at the time. Another broker showed me that piece but seeing Sheldon again I realized that he was in the real estate business as well as deer. Subsequently I looked at a number of other properties with the other “broker” and everything was going the wrong way. I decided to give Sheldon a call and tell him what I was looking for and he instantly started showing me the right stuff. Long story short he found a piece that was not even on the market but through his vast knowledge and connections he knew it might be for sale if the right person came along. We went and looked at it and I knew right then it was the piece I wanted. After numerous negotiations back and forth with the home owners, we did end up closing the deal very successfully. I and my kids, grandkids, friends etc. absolutely love the property and the house. Sheldon did a wonderful job hanging in there with me till the right place came along. Every time that I would call him and ask him something he would give me a straight up answer. We would go look at properties and I would say can we meet at 7:00 in Kerrville and he would be there waiting at 6:50. Now a year and a half after the close, I am still in contact with Sheldon we have had dinner a few times together. I would highly recommend Sheldon for any of your ranch needs.      I began searching for a hill country ranch property near the end of summer, 2007. I wanted a property for hunting and recreation for my family. After spending more than nine months talking to numerous brokers, reviewing many, many properties on various websites and personally visiting about 20 ranches, I was exhausted and confused. The properties were running together in my mind and I was losing track of what I had looked at.
